Job summary

Ford Racing in Allen Park, MI, is seeking a Logistics and Shipping Specialist to anchor the Powertrain team’s material flow, track custody, and trade compliance for incoming, in-process, and outgoing goods. The role demands a continuous-improvement mindset and meticulous documentation to prevent bottlenecks.

The position requires 3+ years in material planning and logistics within an automotive environment, plus BOM management expertise. Onsite work five days a week in Allen Park is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of material planning and logistics experience in automotive/manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years of BOM management and inventory planning.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs daily and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support management of MP&L activities, including packing and shipping for Powertrain Department.
• Facilitate needs of stakeholders with proactive problem resolution.
• Create and implement standard work practices for logistics, ensuring compliance with Ford practices and laws.
• Support lean manufacturing to synchronize multiple operations.
• Work off-peak or longer hours to minimize logistics delays.
• Maintain a system to prioritize dynamic workloads and inform changes.
