Job summary

Ford Racing in Allen Park, MI, is seeking a Powertrain Business Manager to oversee budgeting, procurement, and ERP integration for Motorsport Operations. The role leads a team handling procurement, account reconciliation, MP&L, and process integration, influencing development and race operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or Accounting.
• 3 to 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, technical buyer or supply chain specialist with demonstrated proficiency in forecasting, scheduling, supplier performance and ensuring timely availability of materials.
• Experience with ERP/MRP inventory control.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and facilitate discussions amongst cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Financial Oversight: Manage the SBU's budget, track P&L performance, and analyze variations to optimize profitability.
• Operational Management: Streamline day-to-day business functions including inventory, procurement processes, and administrative workflows.
• Represent Powertrain’s financial and operational interests at Racing level, aligning with corporate strategies.
• Compliance & Reporting: Monitor internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Process Mapping: Document workflows to ensure ERP architecture meets local needs.
• Act as local Project Manager and Super User during ERP rollout phases.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with IT architects, external vendors, and team leads to resolve gaps.
• Training & Adoption: Develop Powertrain training materials and deliver hands-on training.
