Job summary

McGrath Powersports in Cedar Rapids, IA, is hiring a Service Advisor/Writer to join a fast-paced, customer-focused service team. You will greet customers, manage the service journey, and coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check.
• Previous service advisor or customer-facing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in the service lane with professionalism and care.
• Manage the full customer experience throughout the service process.
• Coordinate with technicians to assign and schedule repair orders.
• Present and sell recommended maintenance and service work.
• Provide timely updates and communicate clearly with customers in person and over the phone.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
• Support a smooth, efficient, and productive service department workflow.
