Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic-Powerplant to perform organizational, intermediate and limited depot level maintenance on aircraft powerplant systems, inspecting, testing, repairing and troubleshooting. The role requires reading blueprints and directives and may involve off-site service.

Candidates must have a high school diploma, at least three years' experience, ability to obtain a Secret clearance, and a valid state driver's license.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to obtain/maintain required security clearances.
• Familiarity with powerplant systems and corrosion prevention.

Responsibilities

• Maintains aircraft main and power systems and fuel systems.
• Performs troubleshooting and testing of powerplant systems and components.
• Removes/installs engines, inspects parts and repairs or replaces defective components.
• Reads blueprints and technical publications and follows safety manuals.
