Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic specialized in Powerplant to perform maintenance, inspections, testing and repairs on aircraft powerplant systems. The role includes engine removal/installation, and disassembly of components, with emphasis on corrosion detection and compliance with technical directives.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, 3+ years in the field (last 2 years in military/government contracts), and the ability to obtain/maintain security clearances.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years’ experience within the last eight years in their aircraft maintenance field, last two years in military or government contract.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain required clearances and certifications.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains main, auxiliary, and fuel systems and engine components.
• Performs troubleshooting and operational checks on powerplant systems.
• Removes engine, disassembles, inspects parts, and reinstalls engine.
• Reads blueprints, directives, and safety manuals; follows procedures.
