Job summary

Hitachi Vantara Corporation in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Project Manager for transformer service projects, overseeing planning, execution, budgets, vendors, and customer communication while ensuring safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field, or an associate degree with more than seven years of experience in the transformer or substation field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in project management with a focus on transformer services or heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of transformer service projects from initiation through closure.
• Develop project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and third-party contractors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining communication and managing expectations throughout project execution.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues while developing contingency plans.
• Monitor project progress, track KPIs, and provide regular updates to management.
• Manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and support cost-effective project delivery.
• Support post-project reviews and continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the Services Division.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
