Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineering (Substation) Intern to join our Saint Louis, MO office for a 12-week summer program starting May 17, 2027. You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Electrical Engineering program and eligible to work in the United States.

The internship provides exposure to real projects, mentorship, and opportunities to develop technical, social, and ethical skills while working with senior staff. No relocation or housing assistance is offered.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in accredited Electrical Engineering undergraduate program with Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow guidance from mentors and managers.

Responsibilities

• Develop foundational Electrical Engineering skills through project work.
• Assist with research, field work, and preliminary design calculations.
• Support preparation of design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Collect and maintain project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
