Job summary

POWERX seeks a Field Service Technician – Development Program in Pasco, Washington. The role starts with five weeks of paid, structured classroom and hands-on training in workplace electrical safety, power systems fundamentals, and relay testing, then progresses to field work across customer sites nationwide.

New hires assist senior technicians, perform testing, and pursue certifications including NETA. The program builds a pipeline of safety-first technicians for POWERX’s testing,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical cert preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively; able to relocate to training location if required.
• Strong communicat ion and safety-focused mindset.
• Ability to read wire schematics and one-line diagrams, and follow scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with electrical field testing, commissioning, and service activities on power systems equipment at customer sites.
• Execute assigned test points and procedures with increasing independence as you gain experience.
• Maintain and report test results; document procedures and summaries.
