Job summary

ESS Metron in the Denver area is seeking a Field Service Engineer to lead customer service, troubleshooting, startups, parts, field service and OEM warranty support. You will train customers and staff and work with data center CX and IST knowledge.

This role requires strong electrical knowledge, independent problem solving, and frequent travel. Expect 75–90% travel, on-site visits, and collaboration with the engineering team on new and existing products.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years experience in electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Ability to read wiring schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with 12 VDC–125 VDC and 120 VAC–38kVAC systems.
• Proficient with PLCs and HMI software for major brands.
• Clean driving record; eligible for government clearance; travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via phone, email, and on-site visits.
• Deliver troubleshooting solutions to customer problems.
• Perform field service including warranty work and commissioning.
• Conduct functional testing and final QC inspection of controllers.
• Support new product R&D and reliability testing with engineering.
• Deliver in-person training for customers, reps, and staff.
• Travel 75–90% to support training, service, and startups.
