Job summary

RESA Power, LLC in Blaine, MN, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the location's engineering team, focusing on profitability, efficiency and growth. The role includes power systems studies, power quality analysis, installation, startup, maintenance, and repair for customers.

You will mentor engineers, provide technical leadership, develop cost estimates and bids, and drive safety and regulatory compliance while building strong client relationships and delivering quality engineering services

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or experience equivalency; minimum 10 years power engineering experience.
PE license required.
Experience in power engineering studies and design for industrial projects.
Strong leadership; focus on profitability, accuracy, and customer service.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, NETA; safe work practices.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of location’s engineering department.
Develop and maintain engineering services for assigned location including arc flash studies, coordination studies, protection files, LOTO procedures.
Build client relationships and provide competitive quotes for engineering services.
Provide Engineering cost estimates and bid proposals as per location and RESA practices.
Hire, train, and mentor engineers; set development goals.
Review staff performance; promote promotions/hiring decisions.
Perform and coach power system studies; stamp power studies.
Deliver written reports of findings, proposals, and improvement solutions.
Design electrical distribution system upgrades per assessment results.
Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in all work; provide technical support.
