Job summary

Blattner Company in Avon, Minnesota, seeks a Lead Engineer - Studies to guide electrical studies across bids and projects, establishing study templates and QA/QC standards, and serving as the primary study contact for owners and EOR teams.

You will coordinate with Project Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, and Construction on equipment sizing, protection, and EMC, with renewables-focused experience preferred; PE license required or obtainable within one year.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• PE license required or obtainable within one year of hire.
• 7+ years of electrical studies experience including protection, planning, equipment sizing & rating, and EMC.
• Experience leading studies programs and managing staff across concurrent projects.
• Renewables-focused experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute and oversee power system studies (Short Circuit, Reactive Power Flow, Annualized Energy Loss, and Ampacity) to support bids and projects.
• Establish study templates, methods, and QA/QC practices across the department.
• Review EOR study packages for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Coordinate with Project Engineering, Estimating, Integrated Supply Chain, and Construction on equipment and material selection across the project lifecycle.
• Lead cross-discipline coordination and staff development.
