Job summary

Agility Partners is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join our client’s engineering team. You will design, model, analyze, and test complex power systems that support critical energy operations, with hands-on use of PSSE and TARA.

You will evaluate designs, drive reliability improvements, and collaborate with engineers to optimize performance on large-scale infrastructure projects, applying Python where useful to streamline studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with power system modeling, analysis, and testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, develop, and test power systems and components.
• Use PSSE and TARA for system studies, simulations, and analysis.
• Evaluate designs and propose improvements through testing.
• Support integration and testing within larger power system environments.
• Investigate performance issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to drive improvements.
• Assess reliability, safety, and cost considerations.
