Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Entry-level or Level 2 experience in electric utility industry.
• Experience running power system load flow studies in PSSE.
• Strong written and verbal communication of technical information.
• Experience with programming or scripting (Python, VBA).

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering analysis and technical support for interconnection of new generation resources and future electric power system planning
• Implement system modeling and develop tools and procedures for system studies
• Analyze simulated or actual operating results and develop solutions to current or future system issues
• Report findings and recommendations
• Analyze simulated power system studies and compare results with actual operating data for compliance with applicable standards
• Perform powerflow studies to assess proposed generation interconnections
• Review interconnection applications for compliance with company Planning Guides, Protocols, and technical requirements
• Identify process improvements for interconnection study workflows, data management, and stakeholder communication
• Communicate requirements and results to internal and external interconnection stakeholders
• Track project milestones from study request through commercial operation in alignment with interconnection queue procedures
