Job summary

Qualus invites you to join the Summer 2027 Engineering Boot Camp as a Power Systems Engineer. You will engage in classroom instruction, site visits, and hands-on substation training, with FE exam preparation to build a strong electrical foundation.

As a Power Systems Engineer, you will conduct studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow) and learn to deliver impactful results across multiple departments, with potential full-time employment upon program completion.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering (other engineering disciplines considered for some roles).
• Ability to travel 50-70% of the time.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Educational experience related to medium/high voltage electricity (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies for diverse facilities using SKM/ETAP/Easypower.
• Develop study reports and communicate results to customers.
• Develop relay protective setpoints and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain up-to-date technical skills related to substation design and protection.
