Job summary

Qualus Corporation is seeking a Power Systems Engineer as part of the Summer 2027 Engineering Boot Camp. You will join a structured training program, engage in classroom instructions led by senior engineers, and participate in site visits to gain hands-on substation experience.

The program leads to a full-time position with Qualus. You will perform power system studies including short circuit, protection coordination, load flow, and harmonic analysis while developing reports, leaning on

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.
• Ability to travel 50-70% of the time.
• Microsoft Office product proficiency.
• Educational experience related to medium/high-voltage electricity preferred.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies using SKM, ETAP, or Easypower.
• Assess low/medium-voltage switchgear components to determine mitigation solutions.
• Develop study reports and communicate results to customers.
• Collect data and develop/implement arc flash mitigation designs.
• Interpret construction drawings and develop protective setpoints.
