Job summary

Qualus invites you to join its 2027 Engineering Boot Camp as a Protection & Control Engineer, a full-time Engineer I role with a structured training program to accelerate your growth in the power industry. You will engage in classroom instruction, immersive site visits, and hands-on substation safety training, plus guided FE exam preparation from day one.

As a program participant, you will receive an offer to become a full-time Qualus employee.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited school with a power systems focus.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Substation Design Engineers and Relay Settings Engineers to ensure design concurrence.
• Develop complete engineering design packages for protection and communication systems.
• Support project teams to meet quality and deadlines.
• Maintain up-to-date technical skills for substation design and protection schematics.
• Develop drawings and prepare design documentation using CAD drafting standards.
