Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking a Hardware Development Power Engineer to design, validate and optimize power systems for AWS infrastructure.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware and software teams to build reliable power solutions, including battery management, AC/DC/DC-DC converters and power supplies, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while delivering cost-efficient performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in hardware lab equipment such as digital scopes, logic analyzers, and soldering tools.
• Experience in automation testing.
• 2+ years of electrical engineering experience specifically in power electronics.
• 2+ years of experience designing, testing, and debugging power electronics such as AC/DC, DC/DC and DC/AC power conversion, switching power supplies, driver circuits.

Responsibilities

• Design, debug and validation of power systems including battery management systems, power supplies, AC/DC, DC/AC converters, ATS and BMC controllers.
• Own the product's end-to-end development cycle.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware and software teams on troubleshooting.
• Design automation via test scripts and applications, write test reports, conduct board-level testing and functional verification of power sub-systems.
• Support hardware/software integration testing, firmware regression, and propose design improvements.
