Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead power infrastructure design for AWS data centers, from concept through deployment, with emphasis on reliability and efficiency.

You will analyze diverse generation sources, interpret SLDs and drawings, collaborate with design and field teams, and drive code-compliant, scalable solutions across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years leading power infrastructure designs in complex mission critical facilities.
• Experience with uninterruptible power sources, MV/HV equipment, and data center power systems.
• Knowledge of diesel generators, energy storage, gas turbines, and renewables.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop power generation sources for data centers, including diesel, gas, energy storage, and renewables.
• Create and evaluate Single Line Drawings (SLD) and equipment submittals.
• Collaborate with Design and Field teams on deployments and upgrades.
• Ensure power designs meet interconnection requirements and safety standards.
• Provide feedback to improve data center reliability and uptime across sites.
