Job summary

Electrify America, LLC in the US seeks a Critical Power Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning strategy, execution, and continuous improvement for the network nationwide.

The role owns the commissioning process from construction completion through site acceptance and turnover, partnering with Design-Build firms, equipment manufacturers, and field teams to ensure safety, quality, and timely deployment across sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience; Licensed Master Electrician / IBEW Journeyman.
• NFPA70E, OSHA30 or other relevant safety certifications in good standing.
• Crane/lift certified.
• Switchgear/power system test/repair.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning program and establish the standards, processes, and requirements necessary to ensure all sites are fully prepared for commissioning activities prior to technician deployment.
• Define and maintain the construction-to-commissioning handoff process.
• Establish and enforce site readiness requirements and commissioning acceptance criteria.
• Manage and influence external partners responsible for the successful delivery, startup, and support of network assets.
• Manage relationships with Design-Build firms, equipment manufacturers, commissioning vendors, and technical service providers.
• Establish performance expectations for schedule adherence, quality, safety, and commissioning execution.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise to support safe, compliant, and efficient commissioning activities.
• Serve as the primary commissioning Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Provide hands-on support for commissioning activities, startup validation, and technical issue resolution.
• Develop a scalable commissioning workforce through training, certification, and knowledge management programs.
• Establish commissioning training and certification requirements for internal teams, manufacturers, and service providers.
• Educate all service verticals on commissioning processes, manufacturer requirements, operational expectations, and quality standards.
• Ensure commissioning resources are properly selected, trained, and deployed while maintaining a culture of safety and operational excellence.
• Recommend and assign commissioning personnel based on project requirements, technical qualifications, and geographic needs.
• Lead and support a dedicated team of traveling commissioning technicians.
