Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking a Field Commissioning Engineer to provide technical oversight and management of commissioning and field engineering for our Distributed Infrastructure Systems.

This role acts as the bond between the client, PowerSecure engineering, Service, and operations to ensure high-quality field vetting and safe, effective decisions. Applicants should have 6+ years in commercial/industrial settings with generators, ATS, and switchgear, plus PLCs and protective relays experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel up to 75-95% for project demands.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
• Advanced understanding of AC/DC Electrical Theory.

Responsibilities

• Document onsite changes to As-Shipped Drawings and Settings Files.
• Program and edit PLCs, generator controllers, and protective relays.
• Manage power distribution systems, switchgear and generator critical applications.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and customers via phone, email and in person.
