Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer for Power System Studies (Distribution) with 1-4 years of experience to support distribution system analyses including short circuit, load flow, and DER impact analysis. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and ongoing learning of industry standards.

The position offers hybrid or flexible work options after onboarding and a path toward technical growth within the Power System Studies team.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in performing Distribution System planning studies.
• Understanding of basic Distribution System design concepts, analyses, calculations.
• 1 year of experience in studies such as Short Circuit (Fault) Analysis, Load Flow, DER Impact Analysis, Protection Coordination Studies, Distribution Interconnection Studies, System Impact Studies.

Responsibilities

• Continues to learn and remains current on design guides, standards, and policies.
• Develops and can independently apply knowledge; supports quality program and continuous improvement.
• Prepares complex engineering deliverables and calculations; manages data; adheres to budget and schedule.
