Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Project Documentation Controller to manage technical and contractual documents across the project lifecycle, coordinating with engineering, project management, and customers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

You will maintain document control systems, track revisions, coordinate submissions and approvals, and support audits and compliance activities for large-scale power projects.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience in documentation management.
• “Proficiency with document management systems and Microsoft Office tools.”
• Experience supporting document control activities on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project documentation deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
• Maintain and update document control systems for project-related documentation.
• Classify, code, cross-reference, log, and maintain project records throughout their lifecycle.
• Coordinate documentation requirements with customers, vendors, project teams, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor documentation schedules, submissions, approvals, and deliverables through reporting and follow-up.
• Distribute, track, and maintain technical documents, drawings, and specifications for internal and external use.
• Prepare and maintain document registers, transmittals, status reports, inventories, and classification indexes.
• Support audits, compliance activities, risk identification, and record retention.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
