Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking a Utility Field Technician to collect information and document overhead power-distribution infrastructure in Southern Ohio and Eastern Kentucky. This field-based role requires outdoor work, travel across the region, and independent work management.

The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work; prior utility or field data collection experience is preferred but not required. A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle are necessary, with mileage reimbursement available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in utilities or field data collection preferred but not required.
• Own a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field surveys of overhead power-distribution facilities.
• Locate, inspect, photograph, measure, and document poles, lines, transformers, and related infrastructure.
• Record pole conditions, equipment information, attachment details, clearances, and field conditions.
• Use maps, GIS-based apps, and data-collection tools to locate facilities and document information.
• Upload photographs, measurements, notes, and project data accurately.
• Plan daily routes and manage assigned work within the field area.
