Job summary
Idaho National Laboratory seeks a Power Platform & AI Automation Engineer within Safeguards and Security Solutions Enablement. You will own full‑stack solution delivery using Power Platform tools, Python, and AI techniques to streamline workflows, automate processes, and deliver user-friendly applications.
The role emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, rapid iteration, and deployment across the lab environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field or relevant experience.
- 5+ years building production solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform or equivalent low-code/full-stack development experience.
- Experience leading stakeholder discovery and requirements elicitation independently.
- Experience delivering work in short, iterative cycles with frequent stakeholder check-ins.
Responsibilities
- Design and build PowerApps, including apps embedded in SharePoint sites.
- Develop automated workflows and RPA solutions in Power Automate.
- Build Power BI dashboards and reports for various audiences, including Senior Leadership.
- Apply AI and agentic automation with Python, generative AI, and prompt engineering.
- Reach beyond Power Platform for Python/Django/Flask, .NET, or other languages when needed.
- Document and maintain solution design and implementation for ongoing support.
