Job summary

Piedmont Green Power, LLC operates a biomass-fired generating facility in Barnesville, Georgia, seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily plant operations, ensure safety, and manage on-shift personnel. The role requires strong leadership, DCS knowledge, and adherence to environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities include supervising equipment readings, testing, and records, coordinating with maintenance, and supporting shutdowns and training. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience as a Control Room Operator and/or Shift Supervisor in a power plant or similar industrial environment.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and operate the plant safely, efficiently, and in compliance with SOPs and OSHA requirements.
• Operate Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and monitor equipment readings and tests.
• Maintain accurate operating records and logs.
• Respond to alarms promptly and coordinate with maintenance during outages.
• Assist management during shutdown events and support workforce coordination.
• Identify opportunities for training, SOP, and PM improvements.
