Job summary

Oglethorpe Power Corp. in Rincon, GA seeks an Operations Supervisor for a 500-MW natural gas fired plant. You will oversee shifts, manage scheduling, and ensure safe, reliable power generation in line with regulations.

Responsibilities include developing procedures, coordinating training, analyzing issues, and leading compliance programs (OSHA, EPA, NERC/SERC). Standby duty, overtime, weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BS Degree in a technical field with 6 years of relevant experience or 10 years supervisory experience in power plant operations.
• Experience in rotating shift operations and control room is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day plant operations, scheduling, manpower, and compliance with policies.
• Develop and maintain operating procedures for safe, efficient operations.
• Coordinate training programs for operations staff.
• Analyze and troubleshoot plant issues to ensure reliability.
• Lead compliance programs (OSHA, EPA, NERC/SERC) and reporting.
