Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a shift supervisor to assume overall operational management of an active power plant shift. You will supervise personnel, ensure safe and cost‑effective unit operations, and respond to abnormal situations in compliance with regulations.

You’ll promote teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement while coordinating with dispatch, maintenance, and other teams to meet performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversees an operational shift and ensures safe, compliant plant operations.
• Provides leadership and direction to shift personnel.
• Coordinates maintenance and dispatch with other units.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and safety programs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / related discipline + 4 years utilities plant ops experience OR High School Diploma + 8 years utilities plant ops experience
