Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline with 4 years of utility power plant ops experience.
• Or High School Diploma with 8 years of utility level power plant ops experience.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience leading power plant employees, including bargaining unit staff.
• Comprehensive knowledge of power plant systems and operations.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assumes overall operational management and responsibility for an operational shift.
• Supervises personnel and ensures safe, efficient, cost‑effective unit operation.
• Directs and coordinates unit operations with dispatch, maintenance and others.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and safety program adherence.
• Coordinates emergency response and outage support when needed.
• Evaluates performance, provides feedback, and drives continuous improvement.
• Manages resources, budgets, and expenditures for the area.
• Ensures safety, environmental compliance and efficient use of company assets.
