Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an Engineering Intern to provide reliability engineering support at Harrington and Nichols Stations, learning with the site engineers to ensure dependable operations and maintenance of power plant equipment. You will assist with overhaul planning, capital projects, troubleshooting, and project documentation using SAP and Projectwise.

The internship starts May 31, 2027, with potential extension based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled as of Fall 2027 in an ABET-accredited engineering program (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Environmental preferred).
• Able to work full-time during summer (up to 40 hours/week) and part-time during school year (up to 20 hours/week) at hybrid work location.
