Job summary

Harrington and Nichols Stations seeks a reliability engineering intern to support operations and maintenance. You will assist with overhaul planning, capital projects, and troubleshooting power plant equipment.

You'll work with engineers across facilities, help with SAP work orders, project drawings in Projectwise, and participate in safety meetings. This is a hybrid, in-person role requiring campus commuting to the designated site.

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher (as of Fall 2027).
• Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in any Engineering major.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week).
• Able to work part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week).
• Able to commute to the designated work location in-person, per the hybrid work policy.
• Technical writing course preferred.
• Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Environmental Engineering majors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliability engineering support to power plant operations and maintenance.
• Work with engineers to develop engineering skills for reliable operation.
• Support overhaul planning and capital projects.
• Troubleshoot power plant equipment and assist with SAP work orders.
• Pull and update drawings using Projectwise software.
• Attend safety meetings and collaborate with plant crews.
• Source and order materials and assist with new planned capital projects.
