The engineering intern will provide reliability engineering support to Harrington and Nichols Stations and work closely with the engineers at each facility to develop engineering skills to allow the reliable operation and maintenance of power plant equipment. The support will include: overhaul planning, capital projects, troubleshooting of power plant equipment, working with contractors both onsite and offsite. The intern assists with SAP work order creation and other paperwork preparation such as one-pagers used to request funding for various Emergent capital projects. Intern will also support pulling and updating drawings by learning the use of Projectwise software.
This position is for a May 31, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship’s initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel Energy’s business needs.
Non-Bargaining. The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $21.20 to $23.20 per hour. This position is eligible for the following benefits:
