Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks a skilled Pipefitter Journeyman to plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems per plans and codes. The role covers welding, threading joints, and assembly of pipes, vessels, skids, pumps and supports on a busy construction site.

Ideal candidates have NCCER Pipefitter Journeyman credentials with power plant or industrial experience, strong reading of isometrics, and a proven safe tool-handling record.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pipefitter Journeyman with NCCER in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Strong working knowledge of pipe systems and fabrication.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.
• Proficient in safe and efficient use of electrical and hand tools and layout tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of pipe types and systems (butt, socket, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued, fused).
• Read isometrics, measure, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components for welding.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings per specs by welding and threading.
