Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Abilene, TX is seeking a seasoned Pipefitter Journeyman to lay out, install, test and repair piping systems in an industrial setting. You will read isometric drawings, fabricate and install piping, align and bolt components, and weld joints according to plans and specs.

Ideal candidates have NCCER certification, experience in power plant/industrial environments, strong tool proficiency, and the ability to work in challenging conditions with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Pipefitter Journeyman with NCCER in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Ability to read and transmit written and oral instructions effectively.
• Proficient use of electrical, hand and power tools for layout and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems per plans and codes.
• Read isometrics, measure, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt and clamp components; weld and thread joints as specified.
• Install equipment, vessels, skids, pumps, pipe and supports.
• Inspect work for contract compliance and take corrective action as needed.
