Job summary

Luminant Generation Company LLC is seeking a Plant Operator to manage the overall operations of a gas plant from the Control Room in Pardeesville, PA. You will execute startups, monitor systems, respond to alarms, and coordinate preventive maintenance to ensure continuous, safe operation.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, high school or GED, and strong communication skills. Training through POSS/MASS may be required, with opportunities to progress across levels I–IV.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED completed.
• Candidate must meet Tier 1 performance measures in operations, mechanical, electrical, and instrument/controls.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control power plant systems from the Control Room.
• Coordinate start-ups and shut-downs and respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper equipment function.
• Promote safe, effective, and reliable plant operation.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain plant equipment and systems.
