ChristianaCare in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a full-time Certified Power Plant Operator I to run high-pressure boilers, chillers and auxiliary equipment. The role covers steam plant operation, water treatment, and equipment monitoring to ensure safe, reliable plant performance.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent, a current driver's license, and prefer a Stationary Engineering license. Prior power plant experience is valued; rotating shifts with mandatory overtime apply.

Qualificações

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current driver license.
• Stationary Engineering license preferred.
• One year experience operating high‑pressure steam plants preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Operate steam generation plant for heating, humidification and related processes; maintain required pressures/temperatures.
• Monitor and operate chillers, cooling towers and related equipment.
• Log alarms, monitor gauges, and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform boiler/chiller maintenance and adjust chemical levels in water systems.
• Load/unload auxiliary equipment and document operating data (temperatures, pressures, fuel use).
• Assist in equipment repairs and annual boiler inspections as needed.
• Safely perform duties in accordance with plant safety rules; participate in shift turnover.
