ChristianaCare in Wilmington, Delaware is seeking a full-time Certified Power Plant Operator I to run high-pressure boilers, chillers and related systems. The role includes monitoring, testing, logging, and coordinating maintenance tasks to ensure safe, efficient plant operation.

Required is a high school diploma and a valid driver license; a stationary engineering license is preferred and one year of experience with a high-pressure steam plant is ideal.

Competenze

• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Current Driver License.
• Stationary Engineering License (preferred).
• One year previous experience in operation of high-pressure steam plant (preferred).

Mansioni

• Operates steam generation plant for heating, dietary, humidification, laundry processes and sterilization.
• Operates and monitors chiller plants and related equipment/systems.
• Monitors alarms on ATS, Emergency Generator and medical gas panels.
• Maintains logs and reports unusual conditions.
• Performs operator maintenance and chemical tests for boiler and chiller water.
• Starts/stops boilers, chillers and related equipment for load transfer or maintenance.
