Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Power Plant Operator in New Jersey to operate boilers and a range of power plant equipment within Plant Operations.

This role performs preventive maintenance, maintains operating logs, and assists during emergencies such as snow, fire, flood and power loss. A NJ Blue Seal Stationary Engineer's license is required, with 3–5 years of on‑the‑job experience.

Qualifications

• Read, write and perform simple arithmetic calculations.
• Must possess 3–5 years of on-the-job experience in power plant operations.
• Must possess a current NJ Blue Seal Stationary Engineer's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate high pressure boilers and equipment such as CHP, generators, fuel systems and air compressors.
• Perform preventative maintenance, maintain operating logs, and assist during emergencies.
