Job summary

The City of Philadelphia Department of Revenue is seeking a stationary engineer to operate and maintain high-tonnage pressurized boiler and chiller systems in a large plant facility. You will monitor automation, adjust temperature and pressure, and maintain system levels as directed by supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a valid grade A Steam Boiler license, and at least three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth school grade.
• Possession of a valid grade “A” Steam Boiler, Stationary and Refrigeration Engineer license as issued by the Philadelphia Department of Licenses & Inspections.
• Three years of experience in the stationary engineer trade which has included operating and maintaining high-tonnage pressurized boiler and chiller systems or related HVAC repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain high-tonnage pressurized boiler and chiller systems and related components.
• Monitor automation, check temperature and pressure readings, adjust as needed.
• Maintain refrigerant, chemical and water levels in the systems.
