Job summary

WIN Waste Innovations Bridgeport, CT seeks a Utility Operator to manage operation and inspection of power plant systems under supervision. You will monitor boilers and auxiliary equipment, read meters, perform sampling, and operate mobile equipment as needed.

The role requires 3+ months related experience, mechanical skills for maintenance tasks, and willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts in a hazardous environment. Benefits include industry-leading plans and PTO.

Qualifications

• Three+ months of related experience and/or training.
• Mechanical skills for tasks like replacing shear pins and inspecting equipment.
• Ability to operate power plant auxiliary equipment and read meters/gauges.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate assigned boiler plant equipment following procedures.
• Monitor and inspect pumps, motors, fans, dampers, valves, and compressors.
• Read data from meters and report abnormal conditions or malfunctions.
• Perform ash sampling and water treatment as assigned; monitor APC equipment.
• Operate mobile equipment (Bobcat, forklift) as needed.
• May work overtime and rotating shifts; maintain a clean, safe work area.
