CAMS is seeking a Power Plant Operator for a 1700 MW coal-fired facility in Pennsylvania. The role requires safe operation of boiler, turbine, and ancillary systems on a 24/7 schedule, with training and examinations completed prior to start.

The candidate must pass the Power Plant Operator Entrance Knowledge Exam, a respirator fit test, and reside within a reasonable distance for emergencies. Strong teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Competenze

• Must successfully complete the Power Plant Operator Entrance Knowledge Exam.
• Must pass a pulmonary function/respirator fit test.
• Residency within reasonable distance to facility for callouts and emergencies.
• Understanding of basic electrical theory.
• Understanding of basic cause and effect logic.
• Competent computer skills.
• Average problem-solving skills.
• Must be available for callouts/emergencies.
• Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Mansioni

• Operate boilers, turbine and auxiliary equipment safely.
• Perform lubrication and inspection of boiler and turbine equipment.
• Operate ash and mill pyrite equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and rounds of equipment.
• Tag and isolate equipment as needed.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational problems.
• Make day-to-day decisions based on power plant principles.
• Operate computers and printers.
• Respond to verbal/auditory signals from operating system.
• Work with minimal supervision to complete tasks.
