CAMS - Texas is seeking a Power Plant Operator to oversee a coal-fired 1700 MW facility on a 24/7 rotating shift basis. You will monitor boilers, turbines, ash systems, and related equipment, ensuring safe, efficient operation in compliance with regulations.

The role requires passing the Power Plant Operator Entrance Knowledge Exam, and the ability to pass a pulmonary function/respirator fit test. Candidates should live nearby for callouts and emergencies and be prepared for demanding conditions.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; power generation education is preferred.
• Successful completion of the Power Plant Operator Entrance Knowledge Exam.
• Must reside within reasonable distance from the facility for callouts and emergencies.
• Understanding of basic electrical theory.
• Understanding of basic cause-and-effect logic; competent computer skills.
• Must be available for callouts and emergencies.

Mansioni

• Operate boilers and turbine auxiliary equipment safely.
• Lubricate and inspect boilers and turbine components.
• Operate ash and mill pyrite equipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and rounds.
• Isolate equipment and apply tagging.
• Troubleshoot operational problems.
• Apply steam power plant knowledge to daily tasks.
• Operate computers and printers.
• Respond to verbal/auditory signals from operating system.
