Job summary

Calpine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to assist in operating plant equipment, monitoring pumps and auxiliary equipment, and keeping detailed logs of performance. You will troubleshoot electrical and control systems while supporting safe, efficient plant operations at a major energy facility in California.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical/vocational training, plus 0–4 years of related experience; calibration and test equipment familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or technical/vocational degree.
• 0–4 years of related maintenance experience.
• Prefer experience using test equipment and calibration appliances.
• Additional experience with machinery repair and control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plant equipment, start/stop pumps and motors.
• Record operational data and maintain logs.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Assist in switching operations and maintain safe work environment.
