Job summary

Calpine, a leading electricity provider, invites applications for a plant maintenance technician in Corpus Christi, TX. You will assist in operating pumps and auxiliary equipment, monitor temperatures, pressures, and fuel usage, and help maintain efficient, safe plant performance.

The role requires basic electrical and mechanical knowledge, a high school diploma, and up to four years of related experience. You will work with calibration tools and test equipment to support reliable power

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0–4 years of related experience.
• Prefer experience with test equipment and calibration appliances.
• Experience with machinery repair and control systems preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of chemistry, physics, electricity and mathematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation and monitoring of plant equipment to optimize performance.
• Start/stop pumps and adjust lubrication and cooling per procedures.
• Record plant data and maintain operating logs.
• Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
