Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Production Supervisor at our Ludington Pump Storage facility in Ludington, MI. You will oversee safe, reliable operation, coordinate daily activities, and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a technical degree (or equivalent experience) and leadership experience in power plant operations, with a strong emphasis on safety and Lean methodologies. Commuting distance or relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a technical field with related industrial experience.
• Experience supervising operations teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
• Knowledge of Lean principles and safety/regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in operating reviews, performance assessments, and problem-solving initiatives.
• Recommend and implement improvements to plant systems, operations, and maintenance processes; maintain work-order reports.
• Apply Lean methodologies to drive cost savings and efficiency; monitor metrics and visual tools.
• Coordinate on-call resources and PPE management; ensure training compliance and documentation.
• Supervise unionized staff and manage contractor activities in accordance with policies.
