Job summary

Consumers Energy, Michigan's leading energy provider, seeks a Supervisor Electric Operations to oversee field construction, maintenance and emergency work across a defined territory. The role requires ensuring safe, cost-effective delivery of electric service and compliance with MIOSHA, OSHA, and internal procedures.

The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with Supply Chain, Fleet, and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years in electrical or leadership roles.
• Proven supervisory skills in a diverse workforce including unions.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards (MIOSHA/OSHA) and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and oversight of field construction, maintenance, and emergency work.
• Manage budgets, resources, and schedules for a geographic area.
• Conduct daily reviews and cross-functional operating reviews.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Fleet, Facilities, and external customers.
• Oversee on-call rotation and storm restoration response.
• Ensure compliance with safety manuals and company policies.
