Job summary

Entergy Corporation in Willis, Texas, seeks a Supervisor, Production to lead a cross-functional operations team at a combined cycle plant, directing day-to-day maintenance and responding to outages to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Responsibilities include enforcing OSHA safety, NERC compliance, coordinating with planners, managing budgets, contracts, and rotating shift coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years Plant Operations or Maintenance experience.
• 2 year college degree with 8+ years experience.
• Experience with Combined Cycle Power Plant.
• Ability to operate and maintain fossil fuel power generation facility.
• Experience in I&C, Electrical, and Mechanical fields.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Safe work practices that comply with all OSHA and Entergy Safety Processes.
• Provides Compliance oversight relating to NERC and Environmental requirements.
• Provides direct supervision to hourly multi-craft employees during a normal work week which may include weekends and or extended work schedule during planned, maintenance or forced outages.
• Ensures all required maintenance is performed according to assigned schedule.
• Closely works with Planner/Scheduler to ensure accurate job planning, schedule compliance, and unit reliability while seeking out efficiency opportunities.
• May be required to fill in for direct Supervisor in his/her absence.
• Provides and supports budget/project development and cost control for routine and outage work.
• Provides contract management/contractor oversight.
• Must be willing to become control room operator proficient and willing to cover rotating shift if needed based on plant and staffing needs.
