Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Production Supervisor at its Ludington Pump Storage site to lead daily plant operations with a focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency. You will coordinate operations, production staff, and support teams to ensure continuous power generation while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field plus at least two years of experience in power plant operations or similar industrial operations.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field plus at least four years of relevant technical experience.
• High School Diploma with at least six years of relevant experience in power plant operations or similar industrial operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in operating reviews, performance assessments, and problem-solving initiatives.
• Recommend and implement improvements to plant systems, operations, and maintenance processes.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with support groups to prioritize work and secure necessary resources.
• Oversee work orders, budgets, and personnel scheduling; manage on‑call rotations and PPE distribution.
• Supervise bargaining unit employees and oversee contractor activities for safety and compliance.
• Develop, deliver, and coordinate operator training and certification programs.
