Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams at the Ludington Pumped Storage Facility, guiding budgets and the engineering strategy. You will partner with senior leaders and cross-functional groups to advance engineering standards, ensure safety, and drive key initiatives.

The role demands strong leadership, budgeting acumen, and the ability to manage complex projects across departments, including the multi-year Ludington Corrective Work Project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program or a non-ABET degree with PE license.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience in a regulated environment.
• Strong leadership, in-depth engineering and budgeting expertise, and ability to drive cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple engineering teams, plan, coordinate, and execute complex projects.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and management of engineering costs across assigned teams.
• Lead the Ludington Pumped Storage Facility engineering program and major projects.
• Serve as liaison between frontline leaders, senior leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Develop engineering strategy, standards, and best practices; ensure safety and quality.
