Job summary

Consumers Energy, the largest energy provider in Michigan, seeks a Supervisor Electric Operations to lead field construction, maintenance, and emergency work across a defined territory. The role ensures safe, cost-effective delivery of electric services and oversight of deliverables and staff.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s or equivalent experience in leadership within electric transmission or distribution, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Technical, or related field with two or more years of electrical or leadership experience.
• Associate Degree in a Business, Technical, or related field with four or more years of electrical or leadership experience.
• High School Diploma or GED with six or more years of electrical or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Influences others outside of department regarding policies, practices and procedures.
• Manage and resolve escalated complaints.
• Inspect job sites, plan new assignments, and supervise projects as required.
• Ensure projects and milestones are achieved within approved budgets.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet goals.
• Lead Daily Operating Reviews and Cross Functional Weekly Operating Reviews.
• Oversee personnel actions, training, on-call resources, and safety compliance.
• Acquire, distribute, and manage tools and equipment, and oversee related contracts.
• Investigate and resolve complaints and ensure proper reporting.
