Job summary

WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking a Direct Hire O&M Technician in Michigan to support a combined-cycle power facility. You will oversee field operations, equipment monitoring, and maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance.

You will work with the Plant Manager and operators on outages and compliance. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, along with LOTO procedures and environmental safety practices.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in power plant tech or related field preferred.
Experience in power generation operations and maintenance.
Familiarity with PLCs, DCS platforms, CEMS and CMMS.

Responsibilities

Support safe, reliable operation of plant equipment including turbines and boilers.
Perform startup/shutdown, monitoring, inspections and routine operations.
Identify abnormal conditions and equipment issues for timely action.
Carry out preventive maintenance, minor repairs, calibration and troubleshooting.
Maintain logs, CMMS work orders and inventory transactions.
Ensure safety and environmental compliance across operations.
